Select a slightly larger size storage unit than you think you need.   A larger size makes accessing your items you have in storage easier and gives you extra space to add more items in the future.  When in doubt, go with the larger unit!

5 x 5 size unit with 3′ roll-up door yields about 25 square feet of space and is about the size of a large closet, but still you can store many items.  They are excellent for storing items like garden tools, seasonal items, personal items, office supplies, children’s toys or miscellaneous boxes etc.  OR about 50 file boxes.

5 x 10 size unit has about 50 square feet of space with a 3′ roll-up door on the end and is about the size of a walk-in closet.  You can store the contents of a small one-bedroom apartment or dorm room including a mattress set, dresser, TV, bike and several storage boxes.  OR about 100 file boxes.

10 x 5 size unit like the 5 x 10 unit has about 50 square feet of space but has a 8′ roll-up door on the side to give you easy access to all your stored items.  It is about the size of a walk-in closet.  You can store the contents of a small one-bedroom apartment or dorm room including a mattress set, dresser, TV, bike and several storage boxes.  OR about 100 file boxes.

This 10′ x 7.5′ size unit yields about 75 square feet of space with a 8′ roll-up door on the side that gives you easy access to all your items.  This is an excellent upgrade from the 5×10 unit. The extra 25 sq. ft. of storage space makes a big difference when it comes to storing a more significant quantity of household items or personal belongings.  You can store two small rooms of furniture, chairs, mattresses and boxes.  OR about 150 file boxes.
